WIW: Floral with white

I bought this floral tee at the beginning of the summer and although I've only worn it once or twice to work, it has been a weekend workhorse as I love to pair it with my white, red or denim Bermuda shorts.

Today I've paired the tee with my slimmer fitting white jeans (rolled) and my bone/silver sandals. I'm using my cobalt/cream quilted handbag again (love this bag!) and jewelry is my white watch and silver wedding band.

It's a simple outfit but I feel good in it. What do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Notice that Dusty Bottom snuck into the last pic - he goes so well with today's colour scheme, don't you think?

Tee: Cleo Petite
White jeans: Reitmans Petite
Sandals: Fugitive
Handbag: Danier Leather
Watch: thrifted

Dusty Bottom - what a cute name! I agree, he is a great match today. You do the blue/white/black formula with a twist here, and I love it! Beautiful tee!

A simple outit is needed with this print and you styled it beautifully!

Loved this tee, such a vibrant print and colours, looking like they are  pouring down to the hem:-). I can see it's a workhorse, and like it with the white jeans, and pop of blue bag too.

Ooh beautiful dramatic tee. And I am enjoying the way it repeats the silver streaks in your hair in colours! Fun outfit. I hadn't seen those sandals before...smart to get silver ankle straps for easy bookending! The bag with this adds that something unexpected that makes people look twice. I would probably have chosen a neutral or metallic or red with flat or shiny finish instead of textured, structured bright blue.

I really like this T -- I was wondering where it had gone, I am glad to hear it's become a weekend workhorse!

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Lovely. The tee is gorgeous and looks beautiful with the white.

Dusty Bottom looks so fab with your accessories. Too bad he won't walk on a leash, ha! (Actually, my cat doesn't walk on leash but he DOES go for walks with us. He actually walks at heel like a little dog. People get such a kick out of watching this.)

You look absolutely smashing in this -- fresh and feminine. Love it!

    Love Dusty Bottom's helpful cuteness!

I love that you let the top stand on its own. It is so lovely, and the column of color with jeans and shoes really let's it shine.

    Absolutely gorgeous! As usual :)

Dusty Bottom thanks you for the compliments :)

Suz - I used to have a cat years ago who would go for walks with me all the time on her leash. It's funny how a cat on a leash makes heads turn, isn't it?

Manidipa - I bought these bone/silver sandals at the beginning of the summer and they have been incredible workhorses for me. They go with pretty much everything!

I'm thinking this tee would look ok with both my cobalt and black pencil skirts too - yes?

  • Ingunn replied 10 years ago

Yay to pairing it with black and cobalt pencils!

Great outfit!  I love the graphic tee and the contrast with the white jeans.

My kids want to teach our cat to walk on a leash but I haven't tried it yet.  Now I'm curious to see if she'll go for it or not.  She's allowed in our backyard when we're outside but is always slightly timid out there so I'm not sure how much she'd enjoy going for walks.

We have a dog (standard sized poodle - he's not interesting in photo shoots so is never in my pictures) who is very well-behaved on the leash so it's not like the kids don't have something to walk.

It's great to see you milk the last few weeks of Summer with fresh, breezy looks, Shannon. Modern and Retro. You are excellent at achieving that mix in your style. Love you in that diagonal sleeve, and think how fab a blazer would look over that tee too.

  • Pawprints replied 10 years ago

Yes, you are such a successful mixer. I love seeing what you put together. This one is several thumbs up. (Since I tend to be all thumbs, you get the bonus ones as well as the regular ones!)

What a great way to wear black and white! I love how the outfit creates visual movement as it draws the eye down. Crisp and pretty. DB is color coordinated. Tell Gain to save his energy for autumn outfits.

  • Cindy replied 10 years ago

    Gorgeous!

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

Really pretty t here.  I am also trying to wear white as much as possible right now until the summer ends.  My bootcut jeans will not take me very far into fall because they get dirty once the weather turns.

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

Heavenly print, excellent proportions, striking use of color. I have no more to say this is too perfect Shannon.

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

So glad to see this top.  It's fresh, feminine, and still bold.

You look crisp, but also cool and relaxed.

And Dusty Bottom wants to go to work with you.

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

I love it - I thought the same as Beth Ann - feminine yet bold :)

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Love the simplicity - really lets the print do the talking and take center stage without overwhelming things. Very cool with the colorblocked bag!

  • Raisin replied 10 years ago

What a gorgeous tee!  You look so pretty!

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

I really like this, those shoes look amazing every time you wear them.  Where are they from again?

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

    Awwww shucks ladies....thanks!

Denise - the shoes are Fugitive by Francesco Rossi. Most comfortable footwear I've EVER owned - truly. Will be keeping my eyes open for more of this brand.

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

That is truly a great tee!

  • Asingh replied 10 years ago

I'm a BIG fan of florals and I love the top, Shannon!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

This is a floral I can love and one of my favorite outfits on you ever. Is the top too wide to pop under a jacket when it turns cooler? I'll bet it looks good with blue denim too.
Dusty Bottom is so cute! We wanted to name Maggie " Button Bottom" in Polish because she has a big black round spot right where a tail would be if she had a tail, but the Polish translation didn't seem name worthy. ( She's a Polish sheepdog).

Fantastic outfit, all the way around! I'm in love with your handbag:)
