WIW: Drapey Blush

Good morning my beautiful Fabbers :) We're having beautiful weather right now which means being able to extend the wear of a few lighter pieces - YAY - I can wear my drapey blush blouse a bit more!

Today's outfit started with my blush/white/black drapey blouse. I popped a black cami underneath and then paired the top with my faux wrap black jersey tapered trousers. This is the first wearing of the trousers and OH MY…they are ridiculously comfy and once again, I wish pictures could show how they move when you stride. LOVE THESE!

To balance some of the softness of this outfit, I've added some structure with my pointy toe pumps and then when I head outside, I'll top it all with my blush leather jacket. Black handbag, black/white specs, gold watch and wedding band, and a swipe of bright pink lipstick finish it all off.

I tried to take a close up of the wrap part of the trousers but unfortunately it didn't turn out.

What do you think? Drapey blouse + drapey trousers too much? Does this work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Way to autumnize that top, Shannon! You go!!

Excellent look, Shannon. I love the blush with blush, and I like drapey with drapey: I think you've added just enough structure with the pointy toe pumps + the short sleeves and neckline of the blouse also show some skin which creates structure too. Hurrah for pieces that can transition into the Fall.

Wow so pretty. I can't see the details of the pants but I believe you that the drape and feel is fabulous. I'm sure this looks so wonderful in motion, which is tough to capture on a photo. I love it, though, and am so happy you can bring this right into fall.

Very pretty! From what I can see of the pants they do look like they drape beautifully. Your structural points (pumps, jacket, even your hair and bared neck/arms) are all spot on in keeping this from being overly soft. Always nice to sneak in a few more wears of beloved warm-weather items!

So lovely! The drape on the top is perfect. And that jacket?!?! AMAZING!

I wish I could see the detail on the trousers better. The style sounds so very cool, and the silhouette looks amazing on you. I love that blouse, and it's gorgeous as the start of this outfit. The jacket is perfect to top it all off.

Blush and black is such a brilliant combination for you -- and the jacket is so flattering!  I love the whole outfit unreservedly as is -- I must confess a particular affection for your version with white pants, though!

    I meant "star" of the outfit. . . .

Beautiful. I adore that blouse and I love the drape on drape look. Effortless chic going on here my dear. Very nicely done.

Loved this top from past posts, and really love the blush on blush. This is such an appealing, attractive, and approachable look.

BTW, your hair looks great and you look happy and healthy.
