WIW: Double Animal

Today at work I have a fair bit of running around to do so comfort and no "fuss factor" were first and foremost in choosing today's outfit.

I started out with my dark olive slim cargo pants - a major staple in my wardrobe now. I then added my black and cream animal print v-neck knit tunic. Rather than semi tuck, I decided today to wear it untucked. Yes, it means my leg line is shorter but it means I won't have the possibility of the semi tucked becoming untucked while running around.

I then chose my python print booties for footwear - I like how the cream in the booties picks up the cream in the tunic.

Finally, I finished off the outfit with my citron handbag, red specs, taupe/silver wrap watch and silver wedding band.

So what are your thoughts on this outfit ladies? Does it all work together? Proportions ok? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Tunic: Cleo Petite
Pants: Ricki's
Boots: Sam Edelman
Watch: Fossil (eBay)
Handbag: Sergio Ferreti

Great outfit - I love how that purse gives so many of your outfits a pop of color and a I must say a very stylish "running around" outfit.

The olive looks great with the tunic! I like the cream booties, but of course you could try it with darker booties to lengthen your legs on no-tuck days. (Could but no need in my book.)

Nice execution of merging function, fashion and fun.

Lovely! I like how the booties pick up on the lighter shades in your top and the bag is like  a ray of sun shine.

I like it, Shannon! The length on your tunic is short enough I think that the leg line isn't seriously compromised.

Fun cargo's!  I've been hunting for a pair that fits my pear shape for a few seasons now.  And the yellow bag is the perfect pop of color to this look.

Thanks for your feedback ladies - Shevia, I totally agree that darker booties would lengthen my leg line. For some reason, I'm feeling "tall" today even with the high contrast booties - lol!

Cargo pants have become a wardrobe staple for me. These very inexpensive pants have turned out to be a major workhorse item and I now cannot imagine my closet without a pair. And I'm surprised at how dark olive can work with my wardrobe - talk about a neutral color I hadn't even considered before!

Those have been great pants on you, food for thought for myself as I consider winter trousers....
Love the accessorising here - great colours and textures.

I really love that tunic on you! And it looks terrific with the boots.

I usually don't care for more than one animal per outfit, but this really does look fantastic. I think since the booties are a bit more subtle and the top is bold, this works really well. I love the touch of citron too.

I love the olive and citron yellow color scheme.  Plus the dual animals make it super fun!  I would stop you in the ladies room to discuss were we strangers.
