WIW: Cozy Friday

TGIF!!!

Today's pairing is about as simple as it gets. I'm wearing my favourite bootcut/mini flare jeans. There's a bit of bling on the back pockets but nothing OTT and I like that there is no fading, distressing, whispering, etc. These are the jeans I reach for when I want just a classic pair of indigo blue jeans on. I've paired the jeans with my cream and navy houndstooth Gap sweater. LOVE this sweater! It is so cozy and soft. Have I mentioned how thrilled I am that Gap Canada is now carrying petites?

For footwear I've got on the SE Petty python booties. This is their second day out and I can already tell I'm going to wear these more than I had planned. I'm surprised how well they work in terms of colour.

No jewelry other than my silver Haida wedding band and another silver ring on the opposite hand, and my red quilted handbag.

What do you think? Proportions and colours work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Sweater: Gap
Jeans: Suko
Boots: Sam Edelman
Handbag: Nine West (thrifted)

I love how you are mixing those booties with black and white tops. Simple is powerful when done right! (And not so simple.)

Love, the pop of red sweater twin ;-)

Lovely! The pattern mix between the sweater and the booties is clever. It works so well. This is a nice look on you Shannon. It is simple, clean and uncomplicated. It is also very figure flattering.

    Perfect cozy Friday look!

I love this, Shannon! And yes, the booties are SUPER versatile, I can see it....I love the way the texture makes its own subtle pattern and can seem to echo many other patterns that one wears. Can't wait to try mine with my houndstooth jacket when they come! And thanks for that styling inspiration.

Perfect outfit. I've been eyeballing that sweater in the store, thanks for modeling it! I am a fan of slightly shorter tops with my bootcut jeans and this one works very well. Pairing the lighter shoe here is lovely, and refreshing from dark footwear all the time. Nice job!

Love it! Very fab in terms of proportion and colour, and I am loving the subtle snake pattern with the graphic houndstooth.

Love the proportions and the strong graphic print on you. The sweater is perfect.

    I want that sweater.

And I know this sounds weirdly comical but I just feel like eating you up in this wiw pic!

Adorable cozy fabness! The booties make the look in my book.

Lisa & Sona - you would both look fab in this sweater and it's very soft and comfy...just saying...

Angie - I'm learning that interesting, while still very comfortable, footwear can really up the ante for any outfit. Thanks for teaching me that!

Thank you all so much for your kind comments.
