WIW: Corporate Leather Day 2

I enjoyed wearing my leather jacket so much yesterday that I went with leather again today - this time in cream.

It's wickedly cold again today (soooooo sick of this winter!) so this outfit also serves the purpose of keeping me warm. I started with my dark burgundy skinnies and added my white Gap mesh sleeve sweater with a semi tuck. I chose my snakeskin belt for some pattern and visual interest. Then I topped the sweater with my bone/cream leather jacket. Thank goodness Angie taught us that we can wear different shades of white together - thank you Angie :)

I went with my python booties to pick up more of the cream colour and to bookend my snakeskin belt. I was going to use my large cream handbag but just got too lazy to change bags this morning - I hope my black leather handbag looks ok. I added a swipe of plum lipstick and a couple of rings and I'm ready to go.

So what do you think? Does this work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Jacket & handbag: Danier Leather

I like how you put the two snakeskin pieces together. It brings your outfit together. I do that a lot too :)

They look black in the photo, but I like the idea of them being burgundy better. That white leather jacket was such a good find for you. I like it with the Pettys. I agree the snakeskin belt and booties makes it cohesive.

Another fabulous oufit! You look terrific in winter white. Love how you've bookended with two pops of snake… great idea. Your black bag looks just fine here as it ties in with your dark skinnies.

I imagine burgundy with shades of white and snakeskin print is a total winner!!! I love the white jacket. I am still searching for one :( I think the black bag looks just fine. An off white wouldn't hurt either!

The white on white is stunning! Love that jacket and bag every time!

Beautiful, Shannon. Love the white on white and how clever to pair it with the burgundy. That would be lovely with the snake.

It's nice and bright. I love your jacket.

Nice outfit, Shannon! The belt and the booties add interest to the monochrome look!

Wow for the corporate leathers, again! Just heard the dropping jaws over the sea, here-too!:-)

Love the white jacket and sweater paired together, especially with the Petty's to bookened (those are such a fab find!) both the jacket and your lighter hair.

The trousers do look black to me, but I really like the ieda of them in burgundy. Lovely outfit!  YLF!

Your white on white is wonderful in winter! I'm also admiring the fit of your pants and your dashes of snakeskin. Great outfit!

Shannon - whoa!!  Dudess!! You just keep hitting it out of the park!!  This outfit looks crazy wonderful on you!!  Love how you've mixed the creams and whites and how the burgundy is softer and warmer than black would be.  Fab with the belt and booties.  Just crushing on how fabulous this looks on you!!

I was expecting another dark outfit (nothing wrong with that) when I read the title of your post and was surprised to see the white leather.  The outfit looks great and the white leather jacket is so unexpected.

Thank you for your lovely comments ladies. It's annoying that the skinnies look black here but trust me, they're burgundy. Need to check the lighting on my camera and see what's up there.

My love for leather jackets knows no bounds - I now have my black Danier sleek blazer, my black Spiegel jacket, my plum romantic jacket from hubby and this stone white one. I'm seriously thinking of adding another jacket for spring in a brighter color - any suggestions?

  • Mellllls replied 10 years ago

Pretty. The back bag is a nice dark to complement the skinnies.

  • Missey replied 10 years ago

You look so polished and hip!  Love every bit of the outfit!

Leather for spring?  A lovely pastel blue comes to mind but if you're looking for bright, you always look fantastic in jewel tones like cobalt or sour brights.

    Killer

And I think you'd look stunning in light blue.

You look great.  I like this better than yesterday (which seemed so dark to me).

    Fantastic!

Shannon, you are so darn chic!  This outfit is perfect.  Stay warm out there...

This is really pretty on you. I'm right there with you on the leather love. I have 6 jackets and I'm lusting after one in navy. I wish there was a Danier in Cleveland, but if there was I'd go broke.

Nice look! I'm starting to realize just how versatile a snakeskin pattern is. Really like how the belt ties everything together and gives it polish.

I love this as much as the darker outfit. Your leather jackets are fabulous & I wish we had a leather shop like Danier :)

  • Sarah A replied 10 years ago

I love the light look here! Not that I dont love black a lot too but the burgandy and white/cream combo is just so light and bright on a dark cold day. Lovely! :)

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

Another fantastic outfit! I love the white on white, snakeskin, and burgundy.

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Way to make those leathers work for you!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

How did I miss this!? Leather certainly loves you back. I like the black bag with the outfit. Very sharp. Angie's idea of light blue leather for you is very appealing.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago
