Thrifting Queen

WIW: Brown & White

It is yet another scorching hot day with crazy high humidity - light, breezy and breathable fabrics are the key to comfort.

It's casual day at work so started with my white shorts (these were a pair of bad length capris until Wonder Woman got her hands on them). I've paired the shorts with my brown & white polka dot silk blouse with a light camp underneath. Then added my most comfortable brown leather wedge sandal (these are Clarks and I've had them for years). I'm using my vintage cream woven with Bakelite handle clutch and I'm out the door.

Not an exciting outfit but it's comfortable and reasonably cool. What do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Sandals: Clarks
Handbag: vintage (thrifted)

    Lol and I'm sitting on the couch with the heater on high wrapped in a "snuggie"! Love this outfit. I think that is actually my favorite blouse. This looks fresh, crisp and cool for a hot day. It's casual but still smart and put together for the office. Have a great day.

    Casual chic nailed! A perfect hot weather outfit with style. Love your Clarks wedges, they look fresh so you would never know you'd had them a while, lovely.

    LOVE the colors! If I were to nitpick, I would prefer either the top or the shorts to be a little longer, but my eyes have a thing against a 1:1 ratio. I hope you can stay cool today - half my parking structure seems to have decided to hit the beach today, so it seems the heat is everywhere today!

    You had me at "brown and white." One of my favorite color combinations, and you look very crisp and pretty in it. I think the clutch MAKES the outfit! Something about that light tan color that weaves the others together like a magic spell.

    You are inspiring me to buy a comfy pair of Clarks wedges.
