WIW: Brown, Dark Blue & Plaid Cape

Happy Monday morning ladies!

Today's outfit is about comfort as I have one of those running around kind of days at work. It started with my espresso brown trousers to which I added my Gap beige/cobalt/cream silk blend tee. On top of that, I'm wearing my dark cobalt blue 3/4 length sleeve cardigan. I'm using my Fossil re-issue vintage handbag and for accessories, my vintage men's tribal belt and a newly thrifted copper bracelet watch. For footwear, I have my trusty (a.k.a. old) Naturalizer brown booties. On top of all that for outside, I'm wearing my plaid, wide collar cape.

What do you think? Colours and proportions all work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Cape: Cejon (thrifted)
Cardigan: Attitude by Jay Manuel
Tee: Gap
Trousers: Esprit
Booties: Naturalizer
Belt: vintage (thrifted)
Watch: thrifted

Terribly cute! I love how all your accessories play so nicely together with that rich brown hue of your cape!

Stunning! Your cape is amazing. It looks truly wonderful on you. The outfit is also fab. I always enjoy seeing those trousers on you in various ensembles. I can't stop looking at the cape. It's a prefect fit and despite you being petite it is not overwhelming at all. Have a lovely day...its Monday evening and we are off to bed in this part of the world :)

Great outfit and this cape is an icing on the cake! I cannot believe you thrifted it, it looks completely current and fits you really well.
You are one of the few lucky women who can wear brights and earthy tones equally well!

Love your cape! They're not the most versatile of outerwear but you've styled it so well here.

Great outfit. The cardi and tee look nice together grounded by the brown trousers. The cape is really a statement! So fun.

Shannon, that cape is fabulous. I love the look of capes but have never bought one because it seems as though there are only a handful of days that aren't too warm or too cold.

I thrifted this cape last fall when they first appeared - I found it in my favourite consignment shop. It's true that I can only wear it probably a total of two weeks in a year but for the little amount I paid for it, it was completely worth it. Glad you like it!

KILLER cape, Queen Fashion Flair !

You look incredibly stylish - Every. Single. Day. Such verve, attitude and energy. You have shown us that style really does come from within. You dress with your heart and that's why you have so much love coming your way :)

Love it! The outfit is good but the cape really takes the cake!

Yummy fall colors! I love that cape on you. The length is perfect and it keeps your leg line nice and long. I like it better than most of the modern versions I've seen as well. Hooray for thrifting!

Perfection! I'm adding this to my favorites instantly. The cape is a beauty, the rest goes perfectly with it, but what I like the most is that lovely smile of yours! You seem to shine from within. And what Angie said:)

So smart, Shannon. I love how these autumnal shades look on you. Your cape is the pièce de résistance.
