WIW: Bootcuts & Argyle

Heading out to my hairstylist to get a trim - it's a little warmer today (whoo hoo!) so didn't have to bundle up quite as much as I have over the last two weeks.

I popped on my Suko bootcut jeans and a bright blue/white/citron argyle sweater. On top of that when I head out the door, I've got on my citron puffer and white scarf.

My handbag today is a recent thrift find...I know I'm on a thrifting ban, but I went last weekend with my BFF to Goodwill (she was looking for scarves) and saw this navy vintage beauty and had to have it - after all, it was only $3.50. I've wanted a navy handbag since last year but never found one in a shape I liked. I love the structure that vintage handbags have and this one is the perfect shape and size. The clasp is nice and tight fitting, the outside pristine leather, and the inside is the most amazingly butter-soft taupe leather. I'm wanting to do some research to find out more about it since I don't recognize the small logo on the front. There is printing on the leather inside just above the inner side zippered pocket. Some of the letters are rubbed off but I can read Made in England and then there is a logo underneath that - need a magnifying glass to see if I can read it. Will let you know what I find out...

Hope you like one of my rare weekend outfits and that you're all having a fab day!

Sweater: Nygard (thrifted)
Jeans: Suko
Boots: Naturalizer (and old as the hills!)
Belt: Danier Leather
Handbag: vintage

Love the burst of color! The navy bag is so Shannon. I like the shape and the mystery of its origin.

That blue is such a great color on you!

The bag is a real find! Very Kate Spade.

I love the happy colors between the sweater and puffer. And those jeans are very flattering; in fact you look tiny -- have you been losing weight? (Am I allowed to ask that?) Pinned!

Argyle is one of my most favorite patterns, so this scores an immediate 10 for me. And what a perfect set of brights for a winter day. Lovely!

I love your argyle sweater; you are a beautiful burst of color on winter's day. Great find with the bag. I'll be watching with interest to see if anyone is able to identify it.

There are few things that can make a gal feel as good as some pampering and a fab hair cut with her stylist, am I right? And then to come home to these terribly lovely comments - aaaahhhhh, such a good day :)

This sweater is the perfect example of why I'm off earth tones and loving brighter colours and higher contrast.

Denise - of course it's ok to ask if I'm losing weight. Let's just say "I'm working on it"!

So I did my research on the handbag and it's made by LBF in England, who was known for their quality hardware, in particular and made these handbags in the 1940's and 1950's...kinda cool, don't you think?

    Thanks for popping by!

Shannon you somehow manage to look just as chic and gorgeous in your puffers as your outfits. And I love your new bag. Rules are made to be broken!

What a gorgeous bag, can't believe it was $3.50! Truly a great find.
I love you in jeans and pullovers. The exposed belt buckle looks great.
