I'm so glad I bought this drapey abstract print tank in black, white, grey, yellow & taupe. It feels great on you, doesn't cling and goes with pretty much everything. Plus I find the band at the bottom makes the fit hide any sort of problem area.
I've paired the tank with my black knit pencil skirt and black knit 3/4 length sleeve blazer. Definitely a more conservative look but appropriate for today's tasks. Footwear is my black pointy toe kitten heels and then to add a few lighter and fun elements, am using my yellow clutch and am wearing a white watch.
What do you think? does it all work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

The pencil skirt with pointy pumps are perfect and I love the top also. Bands are my friends too! The yellow clutch is a great addition - you look fab!

Thank you ladies. I think I might poke around the stores and see if I can find more tanks similar to this one - it is turning out to be a great layering piece plus I don't feel too exposed if the jacket needs to come off.

Yes, this is classic and more conservative than some of your looks, but it has such great energy and such a sharp, crisp silhouette, that it is far from milquetoast!
I'm particularly fond of the new pumps and the way the band of the top peeks out from beneath the jacket as if they were purchased as a pair!

Shannon, this is not fair! You know I'm into yellow, grey and white nowadays, and now you've made me want this color combo even more. The problem is, I have so little yellow in my wardrobe. I love the proportions in your outfit, too! That I can recreate, at least. Maybe I'll pull out my own pencil tomorrow, I haven't worn it for a while. Thanks for inspiring me - again :)
