WIW: Black, white & citron

We had some glorious Spring weather over the weekend and much more to come this week. Time to start lightening up the outfits!

Today's outfit started with this black/white graphic print dress and semi-opaque tights (need to go and get some nude micro fishnets). On top of the dress, I added my white leather jacket and scrunched the sleeves to show a bit of skin.

Because there is still some snow on the ground, I chose my black patent booties for footwear and then added a pop of Spring colour with my citron handbag.

Silver wedding band, silver bracelet and black/white specs finish off the outfit.

Does this outfit look like a nod to Spring? Does it all work together and proportions ok? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Jacket: Danier Leather
Dress: Cleo Petite (thrifted)
Boots: Ara
Handbag: Sergio Ferretti

It all looks wonderful to me, Shannon.  I just love that citron bag, and, yes, it does add a touch of spring.

It seems this lovely weather is crossing continents, as we also had warm, sunny weather over the weekend.  The sun is still shining today, too.

Shannon the semi opaque tights are perfect. A full opaque would have been too heavy looking for sure. This is a beautiful outfit and I just love that handbag. Gorgeous!

Great outfit Shannon.  Agree with Deborah that the weight of the tights is perfect.

Mentally trying to figure out if I can copy this...  :)

Does it look like a nod to Spring? Big time! I agree with Deb that more sheer hose definitely lighten the outfit up and white and citron are so happy spring colors.
Here in southwestern Ontario the weather was glorious over the weekend as well. The birds were crazy with singing and I have never seen so many ducks flying in flocks. I hope it is a sign that the winter is over and it is all uphill in the weather department form now on (knock on wood).

A glorious outfit for a glorious weather,  Shannon! just. love. IT! :-)

This is exactly how I do my transition for Spring (learned along the years from Angie, here on the YLF!). Inserting more cream white, where possible. Changing shoes to springier ones. Then add a pop of color.

Now, about the ARA booties.  I thought that front vent it is only for splitting up the high vamp and making them more flattering- which is surely a big amount of  the case. But, as I bought me some cut-out (on ankle/sides) booties recently, I only realised how much a small vent  means for lightening-airying up feet for Spring. An as small as it gets cut out on there on some booties does a great job for feelin' the Spring while still keeping them toasty.  Yeay!:-)

Another terrific outfit. The cut of the jacket is excellent on you and I love it in white.

Yay for glorious weather! This is absolutely a nod to Spring, Shannon, with your white jacket, white pattern in your dress, scrunched sleeves, and semi-opaque tights - and of course your trusty citron handbag. You look bright and lovely to match the weather!

Perfect boots to have for this weather - my patents are saving me too .  Happy hope-it's-spring!  And there is that purse again - I WANT a citron bag and cannot find one anywhere.  I have looked in every store I've been in and seen a grand total of 1 in Aldo - too cheap looking.  If you see anything anywhere - let me know!

Great outfit!  I agree that you've done a good job of inserting some spring into your outfit - the white jacket and citron bag are perfect.

Spring has sprung in Winnipeg. You look delightful, Shannon.

    I LOVE YOUR SMILE.

I love it, Shannon! The white and citron are great.

It's finally started to feel like spring here too, and I also picked a springy outfit this morning. Must be something in the air.

PERFECT spring outfit! Cheery and happy.  :)

Good grief - it's been a busy day today! I'm finally getting to pop back in here.

Glad to hear that the outfit hints towards Spring. I'm not so naive as to think that Winnipeg is in full blown Spring mode though - March and April is very unpredictable here. But the winter reprieve is more than welcome :) Sveta - aren't the birds going positive crazy these days? Poor Dusty Bottom had his nose to the kitchen window all weekend watching and listening...

Lisa - if I see a citron bag anywhere, will take a pic and send to you. I will admit, I haven't seen ANY around.

    Angie - :)

High five for black and citron and print! You look great.

Yay for some springy weather! And well met. The semi-opaque tights are super here and, I feel, add more spring feeling than the cream jacket does. Also agree with Lyn about the booties and the front dip.

Love it! Light, bright and fresh. That handbag was such a great choice. Every time you carry it I am struck by how beautifully it works with what you are wearing.
