WIW: Black & Blush Favorites

After I got dressed this morning, I realized that all of the items I'm wearing today are favourites. Could it be I'm finally getting my wardrobe to the point where everything in my closet is a favourite???

The outfit started with my black cropped slim leg pants. I wear these once a week for sure and despite all the laundering, they still look pristine. I will always want a pair of trousers like this in my wardrobe.

I paired the trousers with a black lace cami and topped that with my voluminous kimono-esque blush patterned blouse. I'm so glad that Angie pointed out this beauty and indicated it worked well for apples. It makes this apple very happy :)

I went with my pointy toe kitten heels, one of two pairs of heels I keep in the Great Shoe Purge of 2014. These are extremely comfortable - again, I will always want a pair of shoes similar to this in my closet.

I finished off the outfit with my black leather handbag (love the gold hardware!) and for jewelry, chose my cold wedding band and a vintage black and gold bangle. Black and white specs and a swipe of soft watermelon-pink lipstick finish things off.

I feel happy in this outfit. Happy because I think it's somewhat flattering and happy because these pieces feel good on the body. What do you think? As always, all comment/suggestions welcome.

    Shannon your question re could everything in your wardrobe be your favourite is quite poignant for me as tonight I was planning tomorrow's outfit (I have senior management in the office tomorrow) and would normally reach for a favourite which is generally something I feel and look good in, but also something I feel "secure/safe/comfortable/truly me" in. Once upon a time only a handful of my clothes made me feel that way, but now they ALL do. So in answer to your question, yes, I reckon the contents of your closet can absolutely all be your favourite:).

    You look lovely. You have taken a lot of time, effort and thought to work through what you want in your wardrobe and what works for you. You then put that same diligence into cultivating that wardrobe. All that work is paying dividends. I am glad you have a closet of favorites!

    This outfit makes me happy ( when I'm not jealous that the blush top isn't in my closet). It looks perfect to my eye. Congratulations on your closet of favorites. I think that you are close to your goal, if not there already.

    YOU are my favorite, Shannon :) I'm very impressed with how you have managed to analyze your wants and needs and tailor your wardrobe towards that. You look fantastic in that outfit. No wonder those pieces are favorites to you.

    Loving everything in your closet is an ideal place to be.  I'm hoping mine reaches this point in the next year or so.  And yay for the outfit, I liked this top the first time I saw you post it in an outfit and it's still going strong and just as lovely.  Have you tried pairing it with white bottoms yet?  Could be a nice blush/white look.
