WIW: Aviators & Lace Moto

Today's outfit started with my navy lace moto - haven't worn this for a bit and after putting it on this morning, am wondering why not. Still love it! Maybe this is one of the benefits of simplifying my closet and wardrobe - rediscovery.

I've popped the lace moto over a column of black (adore black and navy together) - a simple black tank fully tucked into my Aviator trousers with a black leather belt added.

For footwear, I chose my trusty and oh so comfy black heeled sandals and for accessories, went with my olive/cobalt snakeskin clutch, black/white specs and silver bangle with silver wedding band.

Really happy with this look even though it's fairly dark. What do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Tank: Smart Set

Love this! The clutch is fantastic with the outfit -- and you should wear that jacket more often. It's beautiful.

Great outfit. The column of color brings out the lace.

I love this! I have never actually done navy and black. I have always just liked it in theory. This combo inspires me to try it.

This should be a frequent repeat, it is that wonderful. Once again kicking myself for not getting that moto.

This is really cute, and I just hearted it to copy this look sometime soon. You look tough and feminine all at the same time!

I love this outfit! The navy moto looks fantastic with your black outfit. I also love navy and black together, especially since it used to be such a fashion "no no" (I love breaking old rules!). That clutch is divine, such a pretty color of snakeskin.

Fab! I love the column of black topped with blue lace! Very lengthening and slimming. YLF as usual :)

I like how the blue and browns in clutch work with the blue lace jacket and the base of the sandals. I find it very cohesive. A column of color with some kind of topper is a fail proof formula - isn't it? The aviators are clearly workhorses for you!

A beautiful and elegant outfit. You look very tall in this outfit. I love that moto jacket. It really adds an amazing texture. How fun that you "rediscovered" it! I love navy and black together. Funny enough, a few years ago I REALLY didn't like them together and now I wonder why because it looks so good.

More love for this outfit from me.  I have a navy lace jacket that it languishing unworn (in my basement thrift store now).  I'm going to have to try it over all black...

Love the way the jacket and bag work together visually, very rich in detail but harmonious. Great outfit!

I'm also a fan of navy and black.  And lace is lovely for summertime.  Nice outfit!

Great outfit - that moto is really a great piece for you. The clutch adds a nice color contrast without being too bright.

Thanks, Shannon!  You just gave me a new combo to try in my closet:  My BR navy moto with my silky track pants!

Love the lace with moto styling --- and the lightweight jacket is perfect for the Summer office.
