WIW: Aviators & Holes

When I saw Angie's blog post about contrasting tanks, I knew I had to give it a try.

So today's outfit started with my white laser cut hole-y sweater. I love the drape on this sweater when semi-tucked. Underneath I added my black tank and then to have a column of colour effect underneath the sweater, I chose my black J Brand Aviator trousers. I added a simple black leather belt and my black low heeled sandals (which also have holes).

I finished off the outfit with my oversized snakeskin print clutch, large silver/white bangle watch, red specs and red lipstick. In Shannon's world, black/white/red = happy :)

So what do you think? Does this work with the contrasting tank? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Sweater: Nygard
Tank: Smart Set
Trousers: J Brand Earhart Aviator (eBay)
Sandals: Clarks
Clutch & watch: thrifted

I like this outfit a lot. I don't remember seeing this sweater before! It looks great on you, and love it with these slouchy trousers and contrasting tank. Fab.

As always, love the black and white combo, and those trousers are great on you.

This looks fabulous. White is wonderful on you Shannon. And I have to tell you how awesome that clutch is. Cannot believe it's thrifted!

This is a WOW outfit and totally works for my eye. The trousers look fab on you. I like the column of color under the open knit sweater, but think the outfit would work with a cobalt tank too.

This looks fantastic Shannon! (Although I must admit I was expecting a post about a wardrobe hole!)

    Great outfit!

Looks great! The black under white looks intentional.   I want to try the contrasting tank look too.  My sweater is black though so I think I'm going to try it with a bright pink tank underneath.

I love the column of color with the white sweater over it; cool and elegant.

Viva - I bought this sweater in spring of last year and have really enjoyed it. I always wore a white tank underneath though - never thought to change up the color!

Deborah - this clutch is definitely one of my favorite thrift finds. I love the unexpectedly large size of it.

    Joy - oooohhhhhh cobalt....YES.....and I think I have a cobalt tank somewhere...

Sara - love the sound of your black and pink mesh/tank combination. It really is quite fun to wear the unexpected.

Angie - I am so ridiculously glad I bought these red specs. I'd wanted red glasses for years. They are to me what your green specs are to you :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments. Not only have I enjoyed wearing this combination today, but it's perfectly comfy against the Arctic office a/c today. Good grief, it's cold in here.....brrrrrr......

Love your perforations!  I still have such a weakness for them.  Outfit looks great - this is one you could transition through early fall i think.
