WIW: Animal print & red booties

Today's outfit started with my black knit pencil skirt and black knit tank - a column of colour. On top of that, I added my animal print merino wool cardigan with black sleeves. I love how this cardigan looks like a vest from a distance. I added nude hose and then a pop of colour with my red booties, bookended by both my red quilted handbag and red specs. Jewelry is my gold wedding band and rose gold/black watch.

Angie commented in my Friday's outfit post that "tailored plus a touch of fluidity" is my look. I think she's on to something :)

So what do you think of this? Does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

P.S. We got another 10 inches of snow last night so I will be swapping the booties out for my knee high boots and will be adding my red knee length puffer when I head out the door. Will this winter NEVER end???

    That cardigan was such a good purchase. I love how you put the red in the outfit. Your blue booties would look nice with this also, I think.

    I felt really sad putting my winter boots on this morning too -- -25C can go take a hike. We are supposed to get a snowstorm on Wed, and then next week too.

    Urgh, we got a couple of inches of snow in MD and there is no work today!  Sick and tired of this winter too.

    You look stunning, Shannon. Leopard/red/black is always such a fabulous combo. Like your bookending of booties and bag with red lipstick. Your red puffer will be a great toasty-warm addition today.

    I love your red booties with this outfit. They add a nice pop of color and compliment the animal print very well. And please keep that 10 inches of snow up in Canada, don't send it my way!

    Leopard and red is one of my favorite combos - bold and badass, yet people insist that they're both neutral in some ways, so not TOO out there!

    Yep!  That looks like a fab Shannon formula, done beautifully!  As I've known your style on the forum, I notice that you tend to go through big, dramatic style shifts, in which you explore boldly, and longer periods of style stability --- during which you hone your direction and dress with amazing consistency.  This outfit, and the last couple of weeks of outfits show you in a wonderful groove.  Enjoy it!

    Gorgeous, especially with the red booties and bag. I love that cardigan every time you wear it. It says, " I can wear leopard without looking cougar-esque. :)

    Don't think I will ever tire of animal print and red together.  Such a classy look.  This a very cool outfit.  I think this is very reflective of your current style.  There are elements of ladylike-ness, modern, and edge.  Love.
