WIW: All Eileen

First of all - had a FABULOUS time with Dianthus and lisap last night. Dianthus is a lovely hostess and we had hours of great conversation and laughter (and wine!). And apologies to Una who asked for lots of pics - we didn't realize until we were leaving that we hadn't taken any. The conversation flowed so freely that 3.5 hours passed in a flash.

So what does a gal pop on in the morning after too little sleep? Cozy Eileen to the rescue!

Today's outfit started with my charcoal grey footless leggings on top of which I added my EF wool knit Dark Tulip red skirt. I then added the Dark Tulip tank (which is, due to fabric content I assume, a much brighter red than my other Dark Tulip items) and to top everything off, my charcoal grey drapey EF cardigan. Oh my…like being wrapped in a blanket cozy!

To finish off the outfit, I chose my Doc Martens for footwear, black leather handbag, a silver and Abalone shell bracelet, red specs and of course, red lippie.

Can there be TOO much Eileen in one outfit??? Not in Shannon's world :) What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comment/suggestions welcome.

Cardigan, tank and skirt: Eileen Fisher (eBay)
Leggings: Calvin Klein
Boots: Doc Martens
Handbag: Danier Leather

OMG, that's awesome!  Cozy clothes when you are tired are just the best.  No suggestions from me, other than to dress head to toe Eileen more often :)

Glad to hear you had a great time last night... not that there was any doubt.  But sorry not to see a pic or two.  Next time!

This is a fantastic outfit, Shannon! I love that dark red. And on you, all Eileen is all fantastic. This outfit also provides me with incentive for me to wear my new lace-up boots with a skirt; I love your rugged footwear here.

PS Lisa told me about your great meetup; wish I could have been there to see you in all your gorgeousness.

Very festive, as well as comfy!  The red is vibrant for a long day after short sleep, and the boots add a bit of edge to the romantic and luxurious cardi.

    Have a great day!

I love outfits that FEEL cozy as you described but don't necessarily LOOK that way.  Total score thanks to Eileen :)

Cozy and festive, Shannon. But you are KILLING me. No meet up pics???

Just for that, you have to have another one right away. ;)

Love the reds with the blacks on you. Agree with Suz that you must have a meet up repeat asap!

Lovely! You have inspired me to visit the EF factory store in the Bay Area after the new year. I like all your pieces so much!

In case you haven't heard me holler it enough, I LOVE EILEEN FISHER!!! That is all.

I just discovered a couple of stores here that sell her stuff.  I might actually get to try some (very select) things on!  And then of course order from elsewhere, as these are very exclusive (read pricy) stores.  Cuz I'm just a little bit in love with her as well.

Love it!!! Glad you had a good time.

When I saw your "All Eileen" thread title, i couldn't wait to open it. This beautiful outfit needs repeating often. The color and cozy factor with your Docs looks so fabulous.

You look extra youthful and adorable in this outfit. Nice to see you sport lots of dark red this season. One of your best colours. xo

Don't overlook eBay Elizabeth... Once I saw all the buy it now choices I was excited. (I hate the tedium of the auctions.)

    Super FAB.

The colors and proportions definitely work to my eye, but best of all is your happy smile. This is also a favorite formula of mine for cold winter months!

Gorgeous! I love the Doc Martens with this outfit. They add just a bit of spunk to elegant Eileen. Charcoal and dark tulip are wonderful on you.

And how fun your evening sounds!

Love it! To my eyes red and grey is always more sophisticated than pairing red with black but the docs really make the outfit special!

I'm still sitting in my pj's drinking coffee :)  I have officially surrendered to the holidays  (*cough* being out late) and am working from home for the next two weeks.  I have to say, after seeing you in your EF pieces last night, I am even more of a fan than I was before.   I cannot STAND how gorgeous your hair colour is and how great those red specs are. This coming from a person who is scared of looking like a crazy lady with coloured glasses.  You are quite the style icon , my friend.

Perfect. I love this silhouette--the tapered skirt is just right for the flowy cardigan.

EF looks fab on you! Sounds like a fab night!

Eileen has so been hitting it out of the park lately! I have that skirt listed on ebay, as it is not my size, but you are really tempting me to try and make it work for a holiday event. I LOVE that you paired EF with Docs.
