"W-Hair to go in 2015?

As in what direction am I heading with my hairstyle? I'm working on growing out the top and fringe from my usual shorter asymmetrical pixie. I know that the hair trends for 2015 includes longer but I honestly cannot do too long - I don't have the face for it nor the patience to work with it.

I'm hoping that a slightly longer pixie-shag hybrid like the style in pic #1 is stylish enough? And of course, I love LOVE Jennifer Lawrence's messy pixie in pic #2.

Thoughts anyone? Suggestions?

These would both be gorgeous on you! I like them both equally, which is probably of no help to you in deciding : D

Is there one you are secretly leaning towards more?

LBD - well that's NO help at all - lol! #1 would be easier to care for as my hair sort of wants to go that way anyhow and #2 just looks fun! You see my dilemma???

Hmm, they both look great, but I think #1 would be easier to manage. My experience with messy looks is that they don't just look like that when you roll out of bed - they take time and product and tend to go a bit flat during the course of the day. Although you may have more obedient hair than me!

Both would be really cute on you, but leaning slightly toward #1.

Having seen you recently with your slightly grown out do, I think just a bit more length (maybe a month of growth) and a bit of shaping would look great.  Actually both Lisa and I noticed separately that your hair had grown a bit and really liked it with that touch of extra fullness.  I don't think you need to do anything extreme unless you want to.

Oh Dianthus - I was hoping you would chime in since you've seen my head in person - lol! I actually have an appointment for next week for a trim (can you believe it's been almost 8 weeks since the last one?). So maybe I'll just get a wee bit of thinning done (it get so incredibly thick) but continue to grow out the length and see where it goes?

I love love love #2, but it feels like it should come with a personal stylist. But I think maybe something that combines the best of both of these looks would be awesome.

I like #1 with the jagged side lines. I find it harder to keep up with the "purposefully messy" look. You would think that look would be easier, right? Just shake your head and go! Nope. It's not as easy as it looks.

I'm no help, sadly .  I'll do just about anything to my hair at least once :)  I like both pictures a lot; if it were me picking , I'd go for JL's hair.  I've had my hair cut like this before though , and found it hard to style, which is why it's no longer that long.   You know how windy Manitoba is.....and I find it irritating  to have hair that can't withstand being blown around and rained on a bit.  You have beautiful, natural hair though  - and I bet it works well in many styles.  Do whatever you want - it's only hair :)

Of course, after I finish typing, I get to thinking more about your hair. You have great hair - a lovely colour that would really be shown off to great advantage by a less layered cut - like a long bang bob of some sort (pic below for example). Not a soccer mom bob, but a chopped up one but with a long, one length side like this.  You would get the best of both worlds:  polished looking when you want it to be so, and also funky when you want to play around with product and a flat iron.

I can't wait for my hair appt on the 6th - hating on my hair big time right now .

Lisa - LOVE this hair style! Thank you. I could pull that off I think. Will show this to my stylist at my appointment which is on...the 6th!!!

I suspect you're all right about JL's messy style being difficult to style.

I am terrible at hair advice - I think so much depends on your hair and how it will behave. But I am excited to see what your hair stylist and you come up with!

Maybe it's the year transition?  I'm in contemplation of a hair change too....
Personally, I'm loving #1, and may just save it off as a possibility for myself in the future....
