Theory Lanai - is it my perfect jacket? (Decision at bottom)

If I remember correctly, Angie has commented recently that jackets shaped like the Theory Lanai jacket work well on women with shorter necks, fuller busts and apple shapes. This was discussed a fair bit with respect to the Halogen taupe leather cut-away jacket featured in Angie's NAS picks. It's all related to being able to "fill out the jacket".

Let me see....shorter neck? Check. Fuller bust? Check. Apple shape? Check. 

So does this mean that in theory (pun totally intended) the Lanai jacket is my "perfect shaped" jacket?

    Una - not yet but let's just say I am watching that pretty thing in the pic above on eBay. 

    I also understand Theory fits small???

    Fits small compared to US box store sizing.

    My Lanai is size 8 because of my shoulders. Remember there's no button so if not for the shoulders I could size down. My leather is a 6 for a closer fit.

    Suz, you HAVE TO try the Lanai. That's a YLF order.

    Well I did it. The last of my consignment items sold so I had some "fun money" and ordered the jacket. The seller provided excellent detailed measurements which I used to measure a couple of my current blazers to determine fit. I think it will be good. I wear a 10 in Gap blazers and a 12 in Club Monaco - the Theory blazer is a 12. It is new with Bloomingdales tags. No returns however but if it doesn't fit I will be able to resell no problem.

    Fingers crossed that this will be my blue blazer :)

    Angie -- order accepted! I will try at the sale price and see what I think. I can always return that one for one that works in a suit. (This one won't because the trousers that go with it are a horror!)

    Nice!  I bought a similar one last year but haven't worn it much yet since the summer was so hot.  Will look forward to seeing how you style yours.
