Input please on Barcelona dress cover up

I posted a while back about this dress from Barcelona and wanting to wear it to Kristin's wedding (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....dress-work). I have two options in my Etsy cart which I think would work as a wrap in the evening, if need be.

Which would you choose?

P.S. I found a strapless bra that comes far enough down in the back to work with this dress so problem solved!

I like the lighter weight of the chiffon one better. But I think it would look good too with a light weight printed one with lots of your favourite colours. Nothing in Winners, I'm assuming...

I'm no help. I think both look lovely.

Didn't even think of checking Winner's missvee - great idea!

I think the lighter one color scarf looks better. I think there is too much going on with the second one

The first one seems too yellow-y to me... and weren't you concerned before that the nude of the dress wasn't the best near your face? I don't think adding some SSB to the mix will help. :T

I actually like the idea of the ombre one a lot - the burgundy color would be really pretty with orange. It would bring things to a fairly BOHO place, though. Could be good or not depending on the vibe of the wedding.

I think to let the dress shine on its own merit, the first choice is best. I agree with Rae, though, that the ombre choice is interesting in a BOHO way and would really create quite the dramatic vibe.

Yes Rae - I definitely don't want anything near my face too SSB (soul sucking beige). And I didn't really think of the boho vibe with the ombre one - will have to ponder that. It is a casual wedding - 5:00 p.m. outside in a garden so it could work.

Helen - it would be quite dramatic wouldn't it? I think that's why I was drawn to it in the first place. Might go take a peek at Winners as see if there's anything there too before I decide.

    Thanks for the feedback all!

I rather like the first scarf, myself. I wasn't around for the original post, but I really like that dress on you. Your friend has quite the eye. It flatters you so nicely and makes me think of Jamie Lee Curtis. (Hope you take that as a compliment, because that's how it's intended. With my luck, you're not a fan... LOL!)

Beautiful dress! It will look stunning on you and I think that Rae is right about the scarf.

Shannon forgive me but neither of these are grabbing me for that particular dress. Are their other options at this point? If I did have to choose maybe the ombré one would be the most interesting g to pair with the dress.

I'm actually worried about the Indian-style embroidery and ombre bohoness of the second fighting with the mod vibe of the dress; much prefer the more understated embroidery of the first. And if you're going for a boho vibe, the fringe will happily accommodate that! It is also, per moi, the more versatile piece far and away.

All that said, I wonder if you shouldn't try perhaps a more mod scarf with this dress? Something more colourful and emphatic and youthful rather than soft, romantic, old-world...

    How about purple!?!

I've decided to look around locally for something - I don't think either one of these options are "it". Thanks all!
