Fluevog Fever (a.k.a. NOT a K/R)

A few days ago I posted about these Fluevog pointy toe animal print/black leather flats (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....ou-have-to) and promptly ordered them. I was somewhat concerned because of the issues with Fluevog sizing but knew I could return them for credit or exchange should they not fit and ordered them anyway.

Well they arrived today and I AM IN LOVE :) They fit perfectly. The toe is quite long and pointy (my Dad would use his favourite expression about pointy toes "you could kick the eye out of a snake with that shoe"...what can I say, he's an old farmer - lol!) but I actually really like the exaggerated toe. I have quite small feet with short toes and I feel like these shoes give me some presence and I can see them proudly poking out from underneath some trousers. These are for fall/winter but had to show them to you now. And if they are comfy with me shoving my heat-swollen-slightly-sweaty barefeet into them, they'll be even better on a normal day.

Sorry for the bad pics but hopefully you get the idea...Suz....what have you started??? LOL!

    What have I started????

    Never mind me

    What have YOU started, Girlfriend?

Not only does Caro want them. I do, too!  :-D

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

Well somebody started somethin'! Dotty pointy toed shoes! So freakin' cute!

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

Lucky you! Meanwhile Fluevog called to warn me that the pump I ordered runs a half-size big, so I held off and am back on the search for a comfy fun black pump that will fit my feet!  I wore the AGLs today and they are good but are squeezing my fat toes a bit.

Pil - lol! Clearly any sort of critter should be wary of these shoes!

Zap - OMG! I forgot all about that! You are SMART and PSYCHIC!!!

    Ceit - sassy indeed!

Caro & Suz - seriously, these are crazy comfortable. They even accommodate my bunion...just sayin'...

I'm also going to get some regular black shoe laces, which I'm going to use when I wear these with pants. I have the feeling that the ribbon laces will catch the hem of any trousers. But then I can put the ribbon laces back in if I were wearing these with a skirt.

Angie - I owe you BIG TIME for always preaching the virtues of flats. I have become a convert and know now that there are funky flats out there that work for every foot and still make my feet feel sassy and trendy. THANK YOU :)

Ahhh - cross posted with Karie and Una :)

Karie - who knew flats could be "so freakin' cute"???

Una - oh poop on your Fluevog order :(  I did think the AGL's were fab though. Do you think the toe will stretch a bit for you?

So gorgeous!! I may need to check out Fluevog. I am also in the flat shoe camp, and fun pointed toe ones would be a welcome addition to my fall wardrobe!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Susie - WHOA! Those are gorgeous.

Thanks for the funky flats love ladies :)

  • Eliza replied 10 years ago

I think your happiness may be contagious, Shannon.  They are fabulous shoes and will take many daily outfits and kick them up a few hundred notches. It will be compensation for the end of summer to be able to wear them (if you can wait).

Do you mind letting me know if there is much cushioning inside this shoe and how the sizing worked out for you?  I find them quite tempting.

    Enjoy them!

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

Love them so much. If my oxford wearing seasons were longer, I'd consider these, but I have enough oxfords for the amount of time they get worn -- we're deep into the season of sandals here.

They are really very you! Enjoy!

  • Mona replied 10 years ago

    Perfect. And lots of fun!

  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago

Great shoes! So fun and funky! I can't wait to see them in an outfit post.

  • Astrid replied 10 years ago

    Awesome!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Eliza - sorry I'm so late responding to your questions regarding the shoes. I would say the shoes are true to size. I wear a 6.5 medium width in about 80% of shoes/boots I buy and that's what these are and they fit perfectly. I was primarily concerned that they might be too narrow to accommodate the bunion I'm developing on my left foot but they are fine.

As for cushioning, I was say they are average - not fabulous but certainly comfortable.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone :)
