WIW: Olive Cargo & Cream Lace

Remixing favorite items again - today's outfit started with my dark olive green cargo pants. I can't believe how versatile these have been. MsMary - you were so right!

I then went with my cream lace drapey tee, semi tucked to show a peek of my snakeskin belt. I rolled the cargos and then popped on my cream laser cut oxfords for footwear. Accessories included my large cream leather handbag, taupe/silver wrap watch and purple/clear specs.

I think this all works - what say you oh wise ones? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Vince & Eileen

Dug out this floral Vince Camuto tube skirt from the closet this morning - it was too snug at the beginning of the spring/summer season but yay, it's fitting now. I love the blue and white floral mixture.

I then chose my EF oversized blue linen, short sleeved pullover. One of my favourite silhouettes is slim skirt with a voluminous top.

For footwear I went with my bone/silver sandal shoes and echoed that bone colour with my large leather handbag. Chrome/white bangle watch and black/white specs finish off the outfit.

And Dusty Bottom says "good morning" :)

What do you think? does it all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Boxy Blue

Today's outfit started with my blue EF front drape dress…..aaaaahhhhhh….sooooooo comfy.

On top of the dress I've added my boxy blue linen jacket. I love the kind of "shapelessness" of this jacket. It's going to be quite hot outside today but I know my office will be cold. This jacket is perfect for popping off and on and is nice and light.

For footwear, I went with my pewter peep toe wedges and I chose my bright citron clutch, red specs and a chunky gun metal cuff for accessories. The cuff, shoes and buttons on the jacket all match.

Nothing fancy, but I'm comfortable, appropriate for my office and feeling good. What say you all? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Blush Angie Pick for her B-Day

The last time I wore this blouse, I paired it with white slim BF jeans. Today I'm trying it with a slim black pencil skirt.

The blouse is a lovely blush, white and black drapey hi-low kimono-esque style. Bringing out the black bits in the pattern, I'm wearing my black knit pencil skirt. I like the silhouette of the voluminous blouse over the slim skirt.

I went with my black heeled sandals for footwear and chose my ancient black leather with cream trim handbag - so that the cream in the handbag could pull out the white bits in the blouse. Accessories include a dark grey/silver bangle, silver wedding band and my black/white specs.

What do you think? Does it all work? Is the black too heavy with the blouse? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

Angie - you have done more for me and my style than you will EVER know. This blouse represents your gentle encouragement (well sometimes an actual nudge - lol!) to try colours and styles I never would have considered in my pre YLF days. I can't even begin to thank you :)

Blouse: BCBG (Angie pick)
Skirt: Cleo Petite
Sandals: Clarks
Handbag: Danier Leather (thrifted)

WIW: White, grey, cream & watermelon

A bit of a casual outfit for work today - no meetings and no boss! Plus it's windy and a little on the cooler side.

So out came the white BF jeans. Can you believe I didn't own a single pair of white jeans until two years ago and YLF? Now I can't imagine not having a pair in my wardrobe.

I paired the white BF's with a marled light-weight grey/cream v-neck pullover. I thrifted this pullover a couple of weeks ago and am finally getting around to wearing it. I love the drape on this top, its hi-lo hem and the dolman-like, angled short sleeves. Plus it's just super soft…summer cozy, you know?

I've added my wide white leather belt, cream laser cut oxfords, taupe/silver wrap watch and my watermelon coloured handbag for accessories. Red specs finish off the outfit.

I'm happy with how this turned out - what do you think? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: Black & White Ombre

Good morning beautiful Fabbers :)

Today's outfit centres around this gorgeous EF silk, sleeveless, black & white ombre blouse. I fell in love with this blouse the first time I saw it and found it on eBay new with tags. Fabulous eBay story by the way - it arrived a few weeks ago but when I unwrapped it, the seller had unfortunately folded the blouse in such a way that the glue from the original tag stuck to the silk and left a horrendous sticky stain. I took pics and sent to the seller who was positively mortified. She not only paid for the dry cleaning to remove the sticky stain, but offered a full refund including shipping to return the blouse if the stain did not come out. The dry cleaning was successful and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I've paired the blouse with my slim cropped EF trousers - this time with my black and white ankle strap pointy toe shoes. Angie had commented the last time I wore these cropped pants that she preferred them rolled unless worn with ankle straps. Well, when Angie speaks, I listen - lol!

The stock pic of this blouse shows it with a white tank underneath and with black trousers. When I first tried it, I wasn't sure as you can clearly see where the tank ends underneath the darker portion of the blouse. But when I tried a black tank underneath, I wasn't crazy about how it "dulled" the white portion of the blouse. So I'm going with a white tank and now actually quite like the effect. I realize it won't be to everyone's liking though.

And if the Arctic A/C is crazy in the office today, I will pop on my black suit blazer.

I finished off the outfit with my white leather clutch, silver watch and wedding band and my black/white specs.

So what do you think? does this all work together? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

WIW: super casual denim, white and cognac

Nothing fancy going on today - heading out to pick up cat food and then working in the garden. It has finally stopped raining so I can cut the grass!

This entire outfit is thrifted - hacked off BF Denver Hayes jeans, white Joe Fresh tee, Christian Sirano cognac sandals and vintage men's tribal leather belt. Sunnies are Ray Ban Wayfarers - obviously NOT thrifted.

Have a fab Saturday my gorgeous buds :)

WIW: cobalt with a pop of watermelon

Happy 4th of July to my US Fabber friends!

For today's outfit I went with my cobalt pencil skirt and blue/cream flowy polka dot blouse. The skirt is 2 years old and the blouse is 3 years old - yay for favorite items!

I went with my taupe patent kitten heels for shoes and my watermelon shade handbag, gold watch and wedding band for accessories.

Hope this still looks current. As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.
